Project Description

When the Town of Greater Napanee required the total reconstruction of four blocks, the municipality turned to Morven Construction, selecting us based on our proven experience, project execution, and overall value. This project focused on the renewal of utility infrastructure.

Before starting construction, our team performed property pre-condition surveys to evaluate the existing situation. We undertook the removal, replacement and installation of sanitary, storm and water mains incorporating new water valves and storm catch basins/manholes. In addition, we orchestrated the disconnection and establishment of a new connection of the municipal water tower main feed.

This project required the complete replacement of all sanitary and water services from the mains to the property line of each individual property, along with the removal and replacement of all fire hydrants. To ensure uninterrupted service, temporary water mains were installed, water access to all affected properties.

The Morven team undertook the removal and replacement of roadway curbs, sidewalks, and asphalt surfaces, including comprehensive work on roadway and sub-grading. Upon completion, we installed new roadway granular material.

This complex project required attention to detail and daily coordination with local residents. Effective management of excess soils, both on-site and off-site, was essential. We are proud of our team for successfully executing this much-needed update, seamlessly bringing together each element of the project.
