Project Description
Morven Construction completed a two-month storm and sanitary sewer replacement project at Manor Haven Apartments in Brockville, which involved replacing the sewer mains, manholes, and catch basins across the property. The project was designed to prevent future sewer back-ups and accommodate the increased flow resulting from newly added basement apartments.
The work included the removal and replacement of storm sewer in landscaped areas and both storm and sanitary sewers in the parking lot. Dye testing confirmed proper connections of existing sewer laterals, ensuring correct connections to the new sewer mains. Additionally, new sewer connections were made to the City of Brockville's storm and sanitary sewer systems on Salisbury Avenue and Reynolds Drive, which required traffic control including lane enclosures and road closures.
Due to the presence of multiple apartment buildings, Morven Construction phased the work in the parking lot to maintain access and minimize disruption for residents. Restorations included asphalt, curbs, sidewalks, and landscaping both on-site and within the city’s right of way. The project was completed efficiently while ensuring minimal impact on tenants and the surrounding community.
