Project Description
Morven was the general contractor for the expansion of the Sydenham High School Parking Lot. The project involved the clearing and grubbing of an adjacent lot to allow a parking lot expansion for a high school. Morven constructed a large precast retaining wall with railings, installed storm sewers and stormwater chamber system, concrete curbs and sidewalks, asphalt paving and streetscaping features including benches and interlocking stone. The entire parking lot was constructed within the two month summer break at the school. Once the parking lot was completed, the School Board asked Morven to construct an additional concrete stairway between the school building and the property line. This stairway was constructed in small area with limited access and significant elevation changes. Using their specialized equipment, Morven was able to complete the additional work quickly with minimal disruption to the school operations.
